Nicole started her career as a developer working on large, monolithic applications following a waterfall model of software development. Eager to help other development teams avoid the inefficiency of this model she had experienced first-hand, she joined Northwestern Mutual as a CICD engineer. Since then, Nicole has championed bringing DevOps culture and principles to application teams she supported, giving frequent trainings on CICD to help bring legacy applications into a more modern state. She now manages the CICD Engineering team, which is responsible for creating tools and capabilities to ensure compliance and security within CICD pipelines. Her team also drives CICD and DevOps standards within pipelines and projects and helps mature and evangelize DevOps and CICD across the organization.
